Azzalure 125iu

Azzalure is the aesthetic version of Dysport®, which has been available since the early 1990’s and has licenses for use in over 67 countries worldwide. Azzalure is a local muscle relaxant adapted from the botulinum neuromodulator type-A of Dysport® and is indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines and also crow’s feet lines seen at maximum smile, in most adult patients under 65 years of age where the severity of these lines is more prominent.

When Azzalure is injected into the target area, it temporarily weakens the muscle’s activity and eventually reduces the appearance of wrinkles, lines, and folds. As the toxin blocks the transport of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine across the neuromuscular junction, it stops the contraction of the targeted muscles, hence producing a natural and youthful look. It only takes 2 to 3 days for the treatment to respond and take effect and can demonstrate optimal effects of up to 4 months after injection. Maintenance treatments can be done if necessary with an interval of not more than every 3 months. Azzalure is manufactured by the French company Ipsen and commercialized by Galderma.

PRODUCT COMPOSITION

Main ingredient: Clostridium botulinum toxin type A hemagglutinin neurotoxin complex (125 Speywood units per vial)

Other ingredients: 200g/L Human Serum Albumin, Lactose monohydrate

The Speywood units of Azzalure are specific to the preparation and are not interchangeable with other preparations of botulinum toxin.
